Geomorphologic, stratigraphic.
There are benches and waterfall along distance of 50 m in the river course.
Thick pile of Yamnenska Suite (55 Ma) massive quartz sandstones form cascade of benches which is finished with waterfall 3 m high. In the right gullied bank 100 m downstream there are exposed parti-colored rocks of Yaremchanskiy Horizon which is considered as a marker. In its section within red-brown argillites there are lens-like layers of aleurolites with copper mineralization. Copper minerals include malachite, chalcosine, and bornite.
It is the stratotype of Upper Paleocene Yamnenska Suite flysch rocks in Skyboviy Thrust. The waterfall harmonically enhances impressive local landscape and attracts thousands of tourists from many countries; it also is the object for geological excursions of Carpathian-Balkanian Geological Association.
Ecological conditions are suitable.
Close to the waterfall there passes l-class motor-car road from which access by tourist footpath. Above the waterfall there is footpath bridge and landmark-seeing area.
Legally the object as geological landmark is defined.
