Natural National Park “Dovbush Cliffs”

Geomorphologic.

The object comprises group of wonderful cliffs up to 30-40 m high on the flat watershed in pine-tree forest. These cliffs are erosion remnants of Upper Paleocene (55 Ma) Yamnenska Suite massive sandstones. There are made artificial rooms inside the cliffs where, by the legends, the nation heroes — opryshky headed by Oleksa Dovbush had concealed themselves.

The cliffs provide impressive patterns to the landscape and attract thousands of tourists and climbing sportsmen.

Ecological conditions are suitable.

Accessible by motor-car and bus by dirt road.

Legally the object is defined as state-rank geological landmark.
