Nadvirna area, centre of Pasichna village. Rocky left bank of Bystrytsya Nadvirnyanska River
48° 35′ N lat; 24°27′ E long.
Square 10 hectares.
Stratigraphic, geomorphologic.
There is rocky cliff up to 30 m high along distance of 300 m in the plinth of VIII river terrace. Section is composed of the alternating sequence of ash-grey silicified limestone piles with rare hieroglyphs (mainly bioglyphs) on the bedding surfaces, and piles of fine-rhythmic intercalation of greenish-grey aleurolites with grey silicified marls.
This is stratotype of “Pasichnyanskiy lythotype” of Middle Eocene (45 Ma) Vygodska Suite. It is included into the program of geological excursions of Carpathian-Balkanian Geological Association. Ecological conditions are suitable.
The outcrop is well-seeing from the motor-car road. There is the 250 m walk pass to the river.
Legally the object as geological landmark is not defined yet.
It is suggested to give the status of geological regional-rank landmark.
