National Nature Park “Synevir”

Geomorphologic.

In the upper reaches of small right branch of Slobodyanska Rika Stream (right branch of Tereblya River) on the height about 1000 m is located impressive mountain lake. It was formed due to large displacement from the stream left bank some thousand years ago resulted in the dam which partitioned off the stream. Lake banks up to 3-4 m above water level are covered with pebble which upper termination reflects maximum water level. Higher the banks are covered with beautiful pine-tree forest.

Synevyr Lake is the largest in Ukrainian Carpathians water basin of displacement-dam origin. Its impressiveness and beauty attract numerous tourists and nature-fanciers from Ukraine and abroad. Ecological conditions are suitable.

Accessible by motor-car — 5.3 km up the road along Tereblya River.

Under protection of National Nature Park “Synevyr”.
